Creative Director/Producer

As Creative Director and Producer for Together We Rise, I pitched the original concept, assembled the development team, and led the project from inception through production. I oversaw overall development including (but not limited to) narrative, level design, and implementation. Balancing storytelling with player experience, I focused on creating a cohesive, emotionally engaging story supported by strategic, handcrafted encounters.

Together We Rise is a 2D, narrative-driven RPG developed in RPG Maker MV as an independent thesis project (completion slated for August 2025). The game explores themes of family, independence, and personal growth through the allegorical journey of a family of four navigating the shifting dynamics of adulthood and its impact on a family unit.

Its standout feature is a variable-based choice system that challenges players with emotional decisions; be open about your fears or be flexible and adapt to others, be honest about valid concerns over irrational behavior or choose trust even though it places them in danger and so on. These decisions shape the game’s outcome, culminating in a mini-boss battle against the children themselves—manifesting the consequences of overprotection and lack of communication in both gameplay and story.

Designed as a short, polished experience, the game features strategic combat and a flexible spell slot system where all abilities are unlocked from the start, encouraging thoughtful customization without grind. As the Creative Director and Producer, I lead the project’s vision, narrative, and system implementation to deliver a story-rich, emotionally resonant RPG experience.
