Eternal Equilibrium
Balance is everything. Too bad your opponent disagrees.

Eternal Equilibrium explores the concept of balancing offense and defense through a shifting playfield. As players deal or receive hits, their available space expands or contracts, creating a constant push and pull. The game was designed to support solo play so a single person could try and multitask playing both sides.
This was the first game jam my group attempted together and we definitely got carried away exploring the theme. The final product isn't quite balanced (ironic considering the name) but it was a valuable lesson on scope and focus when making games in short time frames as well as translating creative ideas into functional mechanics.
